One Final Update

Before Kicking Off Channel Intro Newsletters!

Last night, I gushed proudly on a YouTube Post, boasting with this “slay queen” image that I accidentally stumbled across on Unsplash.

Just when I thought I was finally "ready, set, go!" and had all my ducks in a row where YouTube and Substack were concerned, my brain got to work again this morning, complicating things further, in its attempt to clarify them!

I again updated my Substack and YouTube channels and I’m glad I did 🙂

Channel Name Updates

My YouTube usernames (and Substack sections) are now:

Heidi Nobel, Nobel Soul, Nobel Art and Nobel Stitch

(SIMPLE - That's what we like!)

It was difficult for me to get my head around Nobel Soul not being the name of my brand anymore, but rather the name of my channel. It made sense to keep all channels under the one Simply Nobel umbrella.

If I have to choose between the two, that’s the one I’m going with because it feels lighter. The word Simply will also be more widely accepted than the word Soul.

As I said, however, Nobel Soul will still be used as a channel name, so all is not lost. It is also the name of my spare Etsy shop.

I wrote a big section about my two inactive Etsy Shops, but have decided to turn it into a Medium story instead. I will link to it in my next Newsletter for those who would like to read more 🙂

Substack Sections Are Looking Sleek 😍

My Substack Nobel News section now looks sleek and polished. I can't yet update all of my YouTube channel usernames and handles (you can only change them twice in two weeks) I am therefore deliberately avoiding adding any more links to this newsletter to save possible confusion 😄

Channel banners have all been updated. Please bear with me until the final handles and channel name corrections are made within the next week or so 🙂

Bringing ‘Simply Nobel’ Back Home

The name ‘Simply Nobel’ wasn't clear enough for my - now cross-stitching and crocheting - channel. ‘Nobel Stitch’ is much better.

As for colouring videos, they will now go to my ‘Nobel Art’ channel. I may also add a few on my ‘Heidi Nobel’ channel on occasion.

I didn’t want to lose my Simply Nobel handle - After all, it is the glue that ties everything together! The name of my baby brand! I don’t want to risk having it stolen by another YouTuber!

So within the next few days, I will return this handle to my Heidi Nobel Channel. The actual name of the channel will remain Heidi Nobel (for now anyway, I may change it back!) Until then, I may use the names Heidi Nobel and Simply Nobel intermittently, when referring to my original Mother YouTube Channel.

There May Be Some Product Mentions on ‘Heidi Nobel’

As I am returning my SimplyNobel handle to my home channel, I will likely mention my products on Heidi Nobel from time to time after all. I'm sure you won't mind 🙂 Lesson learnt; Don’t make announcements until I am certain!

That’s life, plans change. I’m still figuring everything out as I go! I try to keep my word with important things, but when it comes to my YouTube channels and brand, I need to be flexible and allow plans to change (even if at times, that means going (slightly) against my word).

The important thing is that I always try to be transparent with you ahead of time! Regardless, it won’t be a super ‘salesy’ channel, don’t worry 😉

Finding Simplicity via Complexity

Boy oh boy was finding simplicity a complicated process (writing these newsletters didn’t help)! But with patience and perseverance, the end is in sight!

One final change worth mentioning is that, as you may have noticed, I recently changed all of my “From Sender” names to correspond with the section I am writing about.

For example, when I release my first ‘Nobel Stitch’ Newsletter, the sender’s name will be ‘Nobel Stitch’ rather than ‘Nobel News’. I hope that this will be helpful for you dear subscriber. I’m happy to go back to Nobel News if you all vote for that but for now, let’s try it out and see how it goes yeah? 🙂

It feels good, to finally niche out on four different channels!

Time to finally start filming, and get arty and crafty again! 🧘‍♀️🎨🧵
