This video was originally published in January 2024. I am now 39 years old, and some may consider me ‘Behind in Life’, but these days I feel like I’m exactly where I need to be 🙂
This Vlog is the most vulnerable one you will see from me on this channel (and perhaps ever!)
I am about to transition into writing on Substack weekly (across my various categories!) There will be posts for free members in Nobel News, Nobel Soul and Nobel Cats.
For paying members, I have a special ‘Simply Nobel’ Newsletter (where I’m writing in right now!) This is where all future behind-the-scenes news will go.
The content I provide here will primarily focus on my content creation journey, and I will also share personal stories and reflections about life, love, and wellness (while still respecting my own privacy and boundaries, by not sharing anything that I’m uncomfortable with!)
Our Safe, Supportive Sanctuary 🤍
Simply Nobel isn’t my personal journal. It is more a place where I share my unique thoughts, reflections and life lessons. The calm after the storm, if you will. A peaceful sanctuary where you can enjoy a relaxing read while having a nice cup of tea ☕ (Disclaimer: tea is not provided!)
Regular paid members will gain access to premium written posts, behind-the-scenes photos and seasonal PDF colouring files so that you can draw along with me while you watch my free-for-all Nobel Soul mindful drawing videos.
Paying members can also comment on all of my Nobel News posts. This will be a member-only feature, to respect my creative time and space and help keep this a safe, troll-free environment for all!
Founding members will receive the same benefits as regular paid members, plus they will gain a VIP-Only Simply Nobel audio recording of my paid-member written post or a Simply Nobel Vlog, which relates to the post.
There will be two Simply Nobel written posts per month (on the second and fourth Friday of the month - 8 am NZ time), the first will be a written-only post, with behind-the-scenes photos, and the second will be a written post, with a bonus podcast episode or video (I will alternate these on a month-by-month basis).

If you have read this far, please continue to support my personal endeavour by becoming a Paid Simply Nobel Supporter.
Your support is a sign that I am finally starting to make my dreams a reality, and it shows that my work is meaningful to others!
It encourages me to keep putting my heart and soul into every post, and every video, and it is a sign that all of the blood, sweat and tears that I have put into getting this 8-year project up and running have all been worth it! 🙏🏼💛
Past Online Communication
Over the years, I have spent almost as much time responding to comments on social media as I have on actually creating content! 😅
Well, not quite, but I have put countless hours into mindfully and lovingly responding to comments. I may even have a 100% troll-free track record!
As much as I have enjoyed my past conversations with supportive people all over the world, it’s time that I approach my online communication style differently.
Responding to comments at the rate I have been is no longer sustainable. Not now that I have 3 YouTube channels to juggle, two of which are also shared across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok!
I want to focus on the joy of writing in my Substack Home now, and to reserve my limited time and energy for responding to the subscribers who genuinely care about me and want to see me do well.
I’m not saying that non-paying subscribers don’t care about me and my life, but if I want to protect my creative time and energy and look after my mental health, it makes sense to prioritise commenting on paid supporter comments only.
Admittedly, I also want to finally start making a living from bravely putting myself out there online; this is one way to start doing that! Work smarter, not harder, as they say!
My personal stories, life experiences, creativity and dedicated time and energy are valuable. Know your worth, as they say! Supporting an artist financially can be a beautiful way of showing your appreciation for them and their work. It shows that you value their time and effort, and don’t take it for granted 🤍
Comment Response Plan
Recently, I pinned posts up on my new social media accounts. This was to politely let my upcoming audience know, that I am juggling a lot of social media accounts. I asked that they interact with me on YouTube, as I won’t often log in to these outside platforms to read all their comments (certainly not TikTok!)
Initially, I planned to only respond to social media comments with a love heart for the most part. I still wanted to dedicate my time to responding to people’s comments on YouTube, however.
This plan has since shifted. Going forward, I will also be way less interactive on YouTube than I have been over the past 8 years.
Sorry friends, but I hope you understand. I am wearing many hats right now, and I want to learn how to walk this renewed creative path sustainably and mindfully, so that I can keep creating content for many years to come! The freer my mind is, the better the content I will create!
I may still respond to comments with short, polite one-sentence responses, but once my first Nobel News episode launches, it will be ♥ emoji’s only for everyone. There will be no special exceptions to this rule, not even for the subscribers who have known and interacted with me a lot in the past!
The same rule applies for everyone, there will be no favouritism on YouTube, or feeling like I ‘have to’ respond, out of respect or loyalty. I would love to continue our beautiful discussions over here on Substack if you are willing to support me! If not, thank you in advance for all of your beautiful comments! I will enjoy reading and acknowledging each one of them with a ♥
