Yesterday I filmed a video of me introducing my very first colouring book! It was cool to get the physical Proof copy in my hands a few weeks back! It’s one of those things I have said I would love to do “one day” but it wasn’t until I finally said “Today is the day!” that I finally made it happen!
Whether or not I ever sell a copy doesn’t matter to me! I am just proud of myself for doing the thing and persevering through not just an all-nighter, but also for 10 days after publishing it, due to some editing corrections I had to make via KDP.
Conversing with KDP felt like I was conversing with robots (not very smart ones at that!) Mistakes were made on their end, despite how clear my instructions were. That’s OK, I made it through and I learnt a good lesson, which is to ensure that my book titles and author name are correct before hitting publish!
Breaking Down My Colouring Book Video Into 3 Parts
While editing my colouring book video, I decided to break it into 3 parts:
Part 1 was released yesterday. In it, I show you every page of the Proof copy of my colouring book while also telling you a little about my experience of making my first-ever colouring book.
I also share what kind of colouring book I would love to make in the future (it will be much more time-consuming but it will ultimately be worth it, as it will have a lot more heart and soul. It will be my work and my work only! 🙂)
Part 2 I filmed yesterday. I won’t release it for another 1.5 weeks, however. I wasn’t feeling the creative flow last night, so I will film a Part 3 colouring video to redeem my creative skills in the coming week. I will likely edit that video to music. It will be released in 2.5 weeks from now (touch wood).

In Other News
I recently decided to take a Medium Membership break (you can read more about that here) Today I also turned my YouTube Post into a more refined Medium Story (if you aren’t a Medium Member, you can read my Story here).
I titled it: “Letting Go of Trying to Please - The YouTube Algorithm & My Subscribers”
Don’t get me wrong - I would love it if my videos were pleasing and helpful for my audience, but at the end of the day, we need to do what feels best for us, rather than trying to please the world (which is impossible!) Thankfully there’s no need to try, we will naturally attract the right people into our lives if we are our authentic selves and follow our inner guidance systems.
Job Seeking
Over the past week, I have been trying to find a job! The pressure has been on to find one. I trust that I will be employed soon. I have my fingers crossed for a remote job I applied for today - even if it is only for 15 hours per week.
I would be supporting an animal charity; a dream job. Fingers crossed I get a callback! I sent them the link to this dog-walking video, to show them that I really do love animals!
Thank you for reading 🙂
